Service Description

The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) provides students with understanding life-threatening emergencies, high-quality chest compressions, delivering appropriate ventilation, and utilizing the AED. The concepts/skills provided to students include: • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants • AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components • Use of an AED • Effective ventilations/breathes using a barrier device • Importance of team CPR in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes to class. The cost for class is $80 and all required materials are included. Your BLS card will be issued on the same day of class. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED will be issued within 2 weeks for teachers, daycare employees, etc. Payment will be accepted at the conclusion of class. The acceptable forms of payment are as follows: cash, debit, credit or checks. If you prefer to pay in advance prior to arrival of class an invoice can be sent to you via email. ****PLEASE NOTE, IF PAYING WITH CHECK, ENSURE YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS. ALL RETURNED CHECKS WILL BE CHARGED $35.00 INSUFFICIENT FUNDS FEE, IN ADDITION TO THE CLASS FEE. THERE IS A $2.50 CONVIENCE FEE FOR CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS****
